Bio
Jeff came to photography by a road of many twists and turns. On the way, he earned two degrees in philosophy, learned two skilled trades and plied himself to a variety of strange occupations, including one glorious summer as an octopus fisherman in Greece. He is a published philosopher, a journeyman Ironworker and a mean ping-pong player. Born and raised in the heartland of the United States, Jeff traveled a good bit of the world before finding a home in New York, where he mostly lives and works. His editorial and advertising work appears regularly around the globe.
Jeff’s passion for beauty, body and fashion photography comes from a deep appreciation for the human form, and the many veils it wears. His goal as an artist is to know that beauty and truth are lovers, but not the same and often quarreling. If he had to choose, he would rather be deeply superficial than superficially deep, and he occasionally talks about himself in the third person.
